To list here teachers / trainers will have detailed their mindfulness teacher training, confirmed their adherence to relevant Good Practice Guidance and where necessary listed any adaptation knowledge
Mindfulness Beginners events
Here you will find entry level / introduction to mindfulness courses such as the typical 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or the 8-week Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) courses.
Also here you will find taster sessions, one-day introductory events, distance learning courses and other to mindfulness beginner events.
Mindfulness Teacher Training
Here you will find a list of events where you can train to teach mindfulness.
Events listed here will include mindfulness teacher training in the commonly recognised interventions such as MBSR or MBCT plus a range of other teacher training events where the trainer has themselves has completed their teacher training in one of the commonly recognised interventions.
Mindfulness short courses
CPD (Continuous Professional Development) events are offered to mindfulness teachers and trainers who would like to continue to develop their skills beyond their initial teacher training. Here you will find a wide range of events across a spectrum of areas in society.
Events listed here will be supporting the commonly recognised interventions plus other events can be listed where the trainer has themselves completed their teacher training in one of the commonly recognised interventions and has then apadpted a programme / event to support a particular area of interest.
Mindfulness retreats provide the space and opportunity to develop personal meditation practice in a conducive environment with experienced mindfulness trainers.
In the UK; the Good Practice Guidance recommends that mindfulness teachers should attend a retreat once a year to deepen and reconnect to their own personal practice.
Mindfulness retreats can also be supportive for people new to mindfulness and for more experienced practioners who don’t want to teach.
Mindfulness conferences provide a great opportunity to connect in with other mindfulness colleagues, to learn about latest research and pave the way for future developments. Some conference events are open only to mindfulness teachers, others are open to those who practice but do not teach and other events may be specifically for the general public to learn about mindfulness.
Each event will be marked with some guidance to help you select the most appropriate event for you.
