Colette Power

I've been practicing meditation since 2005. I came to meditation and mindfulness because I suffered with my mind, with anxiety and with depression. I've learnt over the years to manage these painful mental states using a range of approaches including mindfulneAss and self-compassion practices. I also work closely with a form of embodied enquiry, which has helped me to understand how suffering is created, how it is maintained, and how it can be alleviated. My wish for myself and for others is to see clearly, live fully and be free of suffering.

I've been teaching mindfulness and compassion-based approaches since 2011. I'm a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher, a senior Breathworks trainer, and I teach Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I supervise mindfulness and self-compassion teachers and lead retreats in the UK and Europe. I hold a doctorate from the University of Liverpool and I'm a trained person-centred counsellor.
